Plumper Cove Marine Provincial Park is one of the BC coast's oldest marine parks, and a very popular anchorage in the summer months. The 66-hectare park is located on the northwest shore of Keats Island in Howe Sound, immediately to the east of the town of Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast.
The park has a well maintained hiking trail system, a grassy upland picnic area and 20 forested walk-in campsites toward Observatory Point. The park is open year-round, and fees collected May 15 - September 25th.
Hiking trails lead from the picnic area to Lookout Mountain and Stony Hill. The pebble beach is great for swimming and beachcombing. Kayakers can access the park from Horseshoe Bay and the Sunshine Coast. Rentals are available in Gibsons.
Facilities include a wharf, floats for boats and dinghies, mooring buoys, pit toilets, fire rings and drinking water. Mooring floats are located on the north shore of the cove, with mooring buoys and the spacious anchorage immediately to the south in depths of 40 to 50 feet.
Plumper Cove Marine Provincial Park is a day trip from Vancouver and is also accessible by foot passenger ferry from the Langdale Ferry Terminal and by water taxi from Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. From the government float at Keats Landing it's a 2-km walk to the park.
